Crossroads Church of the Nazarene

A Life Discovery Church

Sometimes it requires much more faith to follow non-Christian reasoning than is required to believe that God's Word is true. For example Provenzola in "The Popular Encyclopedia of Apologetics" by Hindson and Caner (2008) provided the following example for truth according to pragmatic theory: "truth is relative to a particular person at a particular time. Or a statement is true if it does what it is intended to do and false if it fails to do so. Some may say that what is true is what I believe works for me or what is useful for me to believe, even though it may be contradictory or logically inconsistent. For example, I can travel to the sun without burning up (so long as I travel at night), is true using this approach" I will go with the internal consistency between the Old and New Testament written over more than 1500 years by multiple authors on several continents; and the eyewitness testimony of the Disciples; as well as the Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled in the New Testament. Christians should never apologize for teaching and preaching Biblical truth-there is no other Book like it(!!!)!
