Come on and join us this Sunday for a great service with the whole church family. You can always find the teens hanging out up front, catching all the action. (Front row seats are always best!)
Before the morning worship service we separate into two groups — Jr. High and High school — and share in Bible discussion and fun! These groups meet at 9:15 during Sunday School hour!
Wednesday Night Group provides teens with a mid-week place to experience true discipleship through times of worship, Bible study and FUN. It's all designed to keep our teens interested and keep them walking in their journey with God! We’ll commit to support from some awesome teen lovin’ adults and connecting in any way we can with ya! Hope to see you there.

Our teens meet every Sunday morning in our youth wing in the lower level of the church. Through the school year our 7th and 8th grade students meet in the Jr. High Room and the Sr. High Students, grades 9-12 meet in the Sr. High room for a time of fellowship and Bible Study. This is a meaningful time of discussion and instruction as our students connect to begin their week. During the summer months, the classes combine in the Sr. High room and are intentional about staying connected and learning together.
Throughout the school year, our youth group coordinates with our Family Faith Night ministry. We meet in cycles that last between 4 and 6 weeks at a time to join as families for dinner from 5:45-6:45 and then break into age appropriate groups for the whole family at 7 p.m. Our teens meet in the Sr. High room for this important midweek time of connection, communication, Bible Study and commitment. Through the summer months we do not meet on Wednesday nights, but are intentional to stay connected in other creative ways you can learn about from our Youth Pastor.
Teen camps and retreats
Everyone from time to time needs to “get away from it all.” Each winter we hold an annual local retreat that takes place in the mountains of Central PA. This is retreat is geared toward leadership training and community building, and it’s mission is for students who call Crossroads their home church and youth group. We reserve outreach for other events and believe that this annual event is a unique opportunity for our group to connect and grow in love!
Each summer there is also a teen camp offered by our district (between 50-60 surrounding Nazarene Churches). This is for students in grades 7-12...trust us, you don’t want to miss it...Great speakers, Great music, zip line, low ropes, fishing, archery, floor hockey, racquetball, volleyball, slip n slide, ultimate Frisbee, Olympic sized pool, and more…
Festival of life
This is an annual Christian communication and sports competition, designed to encourage the development of the God given talents and abilities of our youth. Youth in grades 7-12 are encouraged to participate in a district event in November with over 30 other Nazarene churches. Students in grades 9-12 then have the opportunity to advance to a regional level of competition held on the campus of Eastern Nazarene College in the Boston, Massachusetts area in March.
xRoads PM Contemporary service
Our Sunday night, 6 pm contemporary service has an entire section reserved for our youth group. This coffee house style environment with contemporary Christian, band led music and applicable and easy to “get” Biblical teaching was designed with this generation in mind. You’ll enjoy this service from 6-7:30 p.m. and many events that the teens hang out at after the service is over. Join us weekly, at XRoads PM.
We seek to provide regular fellowship opportunities where our teens can meet in a Christian atmosphere just to have a good time together. Some are organized events and trips, others are just informal times designed to relax. Watch our table in the narthex for calendars of upcoming events.
We seek to keep parents informed in the bulletin, via email, and by the pages available by Pastor Janel’s office door. As always, feel free to give her a call at the church office. Don’t forget to “like” our Facebook page: Crossroads Nazarene Youth Group so you can additionally stay up to speed on what’s going on with us!
